Mechanical Design department of TEKNOS works in developing of plastics mould design, intended as 2D design with materials and accessories note processing, 3D mathematic modelling of mould, supplied in different formats and computer aided manufacturing tool path for milling.

Our mould design department is a team of 7 designers who has a wide experience in product studying whether in esthetic or in functionality sector.

In this field, TEKNOS can offer product 3D mathematical modelling, in addition of 2D design; checking, thanks to its wide pressing knowledge, the industrialization and the feasibility.

Using internal measuring service, TEKNOS can offer also a service of reverse engeenering, executing the scanning of phisical models for creating mathematical surfacing.

For mechanical design departement, TEKNOS is equipped with CADCAM systems, operating on UNIX and WINDOWS NT workstations, as follows: CATIA - CIMATRON - CADKEY - THINK 3 (EUREKA).
Using particular softwares, TEKNOS can execute "3D rendering" with which you can have pictures of the parte that look like the real thing and put them into a brochure or into a presentation or into an user's manual, before the effective realization.
To supplement our services, TEKNOS can take CAD files and turn them into phisical models, which can be handled or used in assembly test out, using different technology including stereolithography.
TEKNOS can make parts out of many different materials, depending on the application needed.
