He graduated from the St. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, and plays first flute in the La
Scala Theatre Orchestra of Milan. Since it was founded, he has worked with the La
Scala Philharmonic Orchestra. He has developed a parallel career as a soloist,
including performances at La Scala with Scherchen and chamber music concerts with great
musicians such as I. Stern and C. Abbado, the Virtuosi di Roma and the pianist B.
Canino. He has toured extensively throughout the USA, the USSR, Japan and Europe, and
has been invited to perform at the most prestigious international music festivals. He
has recorded for many companies, including AS DISC in Montecarlo and EMI Classic.
